Glenhaven trips are an unforgettable group travel experience, and we coordinate all the details from start to finish. Our sourcing trips also provide invaluable opportunities to connect, collaborate, share ideas and celebrate successes with your peers in the industry. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our buying trips are temporarily postponed. When it is safe to travel again, we invite you to join us!


We bring a combined 150 years of global trade experience to the table. For more than ten years have been bringing independent garden center and specialty retail buyers to some of the best product showrooms in Asia. We’ve developed deep relationships with manufacturers in China, Thailand, Vietnam, Bali, India and the Philippines who supply top wholesalers and retailers in North America. We connect them directly with buyers like you, enabling you to source the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost – and this factory-direct pricing is available to all Glenhaven customers.


Since 2012, we have been bringing buyers just like you to Asia to experience the top showrooms firsthand and make selections that put you ahead of your competitors. You will be selecting the newest seasonal and trending product months ahead of the curve. You also see firsthand where products are made, meet the product designers, and collaborate with other retail buyers. We work hard on these trips, but we also try to find a little time for some fun. We throw in a few travel experiences and cultural pitstops – like the Great Wall of China, Forbidden City, Rice Paddy Terraces in Bali or the Taj Mahal – making your journey an unforgettable experience.


We can’t wait for you to join us – when it’s safe to travel again, of course. While we’re all unable to travel to Asia amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, you are still able to take advantage of our products and direct sourcing from the comfort of your store or home office. How has COVID-19 affected the buying trips?

Our top concern is the safety and well-being of all garden center and Christmas store employees, families and customers. For this reason, we are currently not booking any buying trips. However, our offices in the USA and Asia remain open and we are accepting orders online and via email for the Garden, Outdoor Living & Grower Supplies 2023 season.

Do I have to travel overseas in order to buy from Glenhaven?

No. You are able to purchase our products and take advantage of Glenhaven’s direct import pricing from the comfort of your store or home office. This buying option is always available, no matter the season. When it is safe to do so, we encourage all of our customers to consider joining a sourcing trip to select product, see the factories firsthand, meet the product designers (and see some incredible sights while connecting with each other). However, travel is not required to be a Glenhaven customer. Contact us at to inquire about our Direct Import Program.

Are there order minimums?

The minimum order for new Glenhaven customers is $10,000. If you have questions about our minimum order requirements, please contact us.

Who goes on Glenhaven trips?

Buyers and owners from independent garden centers and specialty retailers; guests are welcome, too!

How long are sourcing trips?

Sourcing trips typically range from 10 to 14 days, with optional extensions if your schedule allows.

How big is the sourcing trip group?

Travel groups range from 6 to 12 people. Buyers are encouraged and able to create private groups of trusted peers and professionals to help facilitate a collaborative, confidential and fun sourcing trip experience. Buyers can also elect to join our regularly scheduled trips.

How much does the sourcing trip cost?

The travel costs vary depending on the duration of the trip, number of destinations and countries scheduled on your respective itinerary. Christmas tours range from $3,000 – $5,000. Garden & Spring tours range from $4,000 – $6,000. Please note that we always stay in 5-star hotels to ensure that we are safe and comfortable.

What’s included in the sourcing trip?

Glenhaven arranges and covers the costs for all ground transportation for supplier meetings. Any meal that is provided by a supplier is free of charge.

What isn’t included in the sourcing trip?

All travel costs such as airfare, hotels, train tickets, private car hire, breakfasts, evening meals and alcoholic beverages are the responsibility of the customer. Glenhaven selects the flights and hotels for the entire itinerary, and we have a nominated travel agent to help you make your reservations and bookings.
